Ultrasonic Technology

Our market-leading ultrasonic technology is precisely engineered to provide the best available cleaning for oral appliances.

Haptic Touch

The Dental Pod is designed to be simple and effective. The easy to use haptic-touch power button allows for the best cleaning experience.

Built to last

Our Dental Pods are exceptionally high quality, engineered using the highest quality materials meaning they last as long as your oral appliance.

What can the Dental Pod clean?

Studies show that the Dental Pod is effective at cleaning almost any oral appliance

Retainers

Efficacy of removing Candida albicans from orthodontic acrylic bases: an in vitro study.
BMC Oral Health

‘Therefore, it appears again that the vibration bath plays a prominent role in removing biofilm and could possibly be more effective than brushing with toothpaste combined with chlorhexidine.’

Aligners

Comparative SEM analysis of nine F22 aligner cleaning strategies. PMC

‘Of the nine cleaning strategies examined, only that involving 5 min of ultrasound treatment at 42 kHz combined with a 0.3% solution of the germicidal cationic detergent benzalkonium chloride was statistically observed to be effective at removing the bacterial biofilm from the surface’

Mouthguards

Effects of cleaning sports mouthguards with ethylene-vinyl acetate on oral bacteria. PMC

Microbiota Found in Protective Athletic
Mouthguards PMC

Dentures

Efficacy of ultrasonic home-care denture cleaning versus conventional denture cleaning: A randomised crossover clinical trial’. sciencedirect

‘They reported that ultrasonic cleaning “reduced the effort required for mechanical cleaning”, resulting in “much cleaner dentures”.

Better than Traditional Cleaning.

Brushing

A tool designed to clean the hard enamel of human teeth simply isn't effective at cleaning most oral appliances. The hard bristles can scratch and cloud plastic, whilst also not cleaning the crevices of appliances.

Just a Tablet

Just using a cleaning tablet is like brushing your teeth with toothpaste but no toothbrush. Tablets will kill some of the bacteria on your appliance but the chemicals won’t penetrate any deeper than the very surface level.

UV Light in Water

UV light doesn’t work in dirty or cloudy water because even small amounts of dirt block the light. Instead, the Dental Pod uses best-in-class ultrasonic cleaning technology to effectively clean the whole appliance.

Water Rinse

Rinsing under the tap may be easy and simple, but it fails to remove plaque and bacteria. This tends to result in a lot of build up and extremely unhealthy retainers.

Other Ultrasonic cleaners

Other ultrasonic cleaners are often cheaply made, untested, and don’t use the right frequencies for retainers. At best they clean poorly; at worst they can damage oral appliances and give a false sense of hygiene.

Data and Trials

TRAD03 Study.

(Conducted by us) The study focused on comparing the effectiveness of five different cleaning methods in removing harmful oral fungus from 120 orthodontic aligners.

Dental Pods remove 97.5% more fungus than other leading oral cleaners.

Data and Trials

F22 Study.

(Conducted by Independent orthodontists) Each participant underwent a 14-day course of wearing aligners assigned with 9 different cleaning protocols. This was followed by electron microscope analysis to assess efficacy.

The technology of the Dental pod was significantly more effective than the other 8 cleaning methods.
